Call for Papers for the 17th Study Day on Literature and History of Science Published

The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science and the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School at the Free University of Berlin invite young researchers working in the field of Literature and Science to a seminar.

The Study Day on Literature and History of Science will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science.

The Study Day provides an open forum for discussion of participants’ own texts related to Literature and History of Science. Preliminary results of ongoing work will be presented and commented on.

The responses will be provided by experts in the respective field. To facilitate in-depth discussion, contributions (10-20 pages, in German or English) will be sent in advance to all participants who have registered. The discussion of contributions will be initiated by a comment and a reply from the author. Approximately one hour will be allotted for each contribution.

Interested participants are requested to submit their contributions by February 16, 2026, including a title, a brief abstract (about one page), and a short description of their institutional affiliation. After the program is compiled and comments are distributed, the texts must be submitted by May 21, 2026 (as a PDF file) for timely distribution. Registration for participation in the Study Day is also requested by May 21, 2026.
